Vicente Gerardo Ortega, 59, born on July 13, 1961, in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico to late Vicente Ortega and Josefina Torres. He was a proud graduate from University of Guadalajara with a degree in Electrical Engineering, class of 1988.

Vicente was a devoted, loving, and caring son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Growing up in Guadalajara, he loved spending time with his family and friends, playing guitar, basketball, and attending mass where he met his wife, Eva. Soon after on September 16, 1983, he married Eva. Furthermore, Vicente was a spiritual man and was involved in various church activities, including being part of the choir with his beloved wife. He immigrated to the United States in the year 1990 in hopes to provide a brighter future for his family and resided in Pomona the rest of his living years. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like playing and watching sports with his children and grandchildren. Vicente enjoyed going to Nascar races, 49ers games, fishing, and going to the place he found happiness, Disneyland. Additionally, Vicente loved life, living in the moment and always helped those in need. For those that knew him, he never said 'No'. He was a man that had many talents; playing instruments, singing, and working hard at anything he was encountered with. He will be incredibly missed by his family, friends, and everyone that knew him. He is reunited with his father in Heaven.
