Vicente "Vic" Duntugan, a beloved father, kind friend, and devoted husband, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Arleta, California on December 18, 2024. He was born on July 7, 1937, in Banaue, Philippines.
Vic's left his hometown to pursue and earn a bachelor's degree in economics from Ateneo de Manila University. He started a career in accounting at Philippine Airlines, which laid the foundation for future growth. He then found and married the love of his life, Minda Gonzales, who both immigrated to the United States. Vic continued his accounting career at various companies before retiring nearly 20 years ago from the advertising industry. During his career, he was also committed to supporting his family members that he left behind, particularly in the education of his family's next generation.
Vic often reflected on the homeland he left behind, and cherished spending time with his "townmates" who also immigrated to the United States. Beyond work, he was an avid gambler who enjoyed horse racing, blackjack, and more. Many cherished moments were spent enjoying visits to Las Vegas with family members and friends.
Vicente's legacy continues to live on through his sons, Albert and Brian Duntugan. His passing comes just five months after the loss of his beloved wife, Minda, marking a significant chapter in the lives of those who knew and loved them.
