Verne H. Wilson
Resident of Belmont, California, since 1966
June 6, 1930-November 7, 2014

Born in Detroit, Michigan. Passed away after a long illness, precipitated by 40 years of Parkinson's and Crohn's disease. Verne graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in mathematics. His career included working in the computer industry as a computer engineer from 1951 to 1993, along with serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a world traveler and enjoyed visiting new places, meeting new people, and experiencing new adventures. He was a prolific reader who never stopped learning. His thirst for knowledge and life itself was inexhaustible. Even during his many illnesses he still traveled vicariously and enjoyed sports' entertainment.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol, along with daughter, Eva,
son-in-law, Abel and three grandchildren, Keith, Eric, and Patrick.

Verne was a kind and generous man, always smiling and enjoying life with his family and canine companions. He will be missed, loved, and always remembered by his family and friends as well as his amazing caregivers, Sonny, Robert, Martha, and Rebecca, who were his devoted companions until his demise.

Many thanks to Pathway Home Healthcare nurses, as well as his doctors, who made it possible for Verne to remain at home for the last four years of his life.

Memorial service and interment will be held at Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
