She made every room brighter, every table fuller, every dance floor livelier, and every life she encountered better for having known her.
Venecia "Venie" Begonia was born in 1936 in La Union, Philippines, and passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. She spent most of her life in Chino Hills, California. With grateful hearts and profound love, we celebrate the life of Venie Begonia, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, caregiver, entertainer, and the beloved matriarch of our family.
Venie married Mike Begonia in 1957, and together they built a life centered on love and family. They raised three children: Richen, Jocelyn "Joy", and Fatima "Madette". She lovingly helped raise her grandchildren: Erin, Samantha, Annika, Justine, and Ryan with endless devotion and unwavering care. In her later years, she had the joy of watching her legacy continue through her great-grandchildren: Reeve, Felix, Mike, Amelia, and Nico who are now nurtured by the very grandchildren she once helped raise.
Venie leaves behind a legacy of resilience, compassion, generosity, determination, laughter, and unconditional love. Her vibrant spirit lives on in the family she built, the traditions she passed down, the gardens she cultivated, the recipes she shared, and the countless lives she touched. She made every room brighter, every table fuller, every dance floor livelier, and every life she encountered better for having known her.
Though we will miss her deeply, we will remember her always and celebrate her forever.
