Vene Marie MacKinnon, 96, born on November 17, 1926, in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania, passed away November 01, 2023. She was residing in Roseville, CA at the time of her passing. Prior to moving to Roseville she lived in Glendale, CA, for over 60 years. She was a Theater Arts graduate of UCLA in 1950. Vene enjoyed directing community plays for the Glendale Center Theatre during the 1950s. Following her days with the theater, Vene dedicated her life to raising three children. She leaves behind two daughters, Laurie Lynn Zakarian and Linda Kay Charley, a son-in-law Bruce S. Zakarian, and six grandchildren, Jason, Jared, and Jordan Zakarian, Steven Charley, Kaitlyn Clark, and Heather Grose. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Amelia Zakarian and twins Emma and Wesley Grose. She was preceeded in death by her husband Malcolm A. MacKinnon, her son, David S. MacKinnon and her parents Bernice and Frank Berta. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, CA.
