Ven G. Chin

Ven "Archie" G. Chin, 92, born on July 29, 1929, in Boston, Massachusetts and passed away on May 19, 2022. He resided with his daughter, Elizabeth and her family at the time of his passing. Ven was born to his late father Chung Shaw Chin (born in 1882 in China, died in 1962 in Massachusetts) and late mother Quan Shee Chin(born in 1892 in China, died in 1982 in California). He married his wife, Catherine Edith Low in 1957in Los Angeles and they moved to Boston where their four children were born. In 1969, he moved his family back to the Los Angeles area where they raised their children. Ven was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine who passed in 1998. Ven is survived by his daughter, Karen and her husband, Michael and grandson Adam; son, Archie and his wife, Lilly and three grandsons, Jonathan, Justin and Jeffrey; daughter, Elizabeth and her husband Brian and granddaughter Katherine; and son, Michael and his wife, Micki. Ven was preceded in death by his brother, Colonel Wah G. Chin (U.S. Army); Sisters Anna and Helen, all of Massachusetts. He is survived by his sister, Elsa and brother, Robert, along with numerous nephews and nieces who live in the New England area. His arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California
