Velma Maxine Clausen Mcarthur

Velma Maxine Clausen McArthur, 92, born on August 21, 1924 in Fort Dodge, Iowa; she passed away peacefully at her home in Chandler, Arizona surrounded by family on the 20th day of June in 2017 at the age of 92.

Proceeded in death by mother and father, Mabel May and Selmer Johnson. Her brother, Sherwood and (Agnes) Johnson. Her sister, Delores Margaret Olesen Harvey Olesen. Also, her first husband Keith Clausen; second husband, Marvin McArthur.

She raised in Fort Dodge, Iowa – worked at Globe Union. Later moved to Lake Elsinore and worked at Endevco for 26 years before she retired in Chandler, Arizona.

Survived by her nieces and nephews, Sandra Liggett of Chandler, Arizona; Sherwood "Butch" Johnson and his wife, Linda of Fort Dodge, Iowa and; Sharon DeBruin and her husband Ray of Gowrie, Iowa. Also, Donna Johnson of Tampa, Florida and 18 great niece And nephews.
She was recognized by NASA for her outstanding contribution to the success of the launch at the Space Shuttle Columbia
