Vartkes Ara Metchikian, 78, born on July 14, 1937 in Beirut, Lebanon, passed away March 10, 2016. He resided in Costa Mesa, California, at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.

To all of Ari's friends and family

If you know anybody else that wants to attend, feel free to just invite them. We are having a really nice casual dinner/luncheon (Hokegash in Armenian) at an authentic Armenian restaurant afterwards which I would love for anybody to attend. And if you do want to attend the diner, could you please do me a favor and call me, Sebastian (Sebouh) Metchikian, and let me know how many people will attend the dinner? My phone number is (949) 656-9520. This is strictly so that I can section off the proper amounts of seats and let the restaurant know to prepare. The dinner would be a great time to enjoy really good Armenian food and to just talk and reminisce about my loving father. Kids are totally fine too, so please don't worry that it will disrupt anything. I really want to see you all. I will go around and spend time with everyone. I promise. Plus, I have a lot of my father's drawings that I want his friends and family to have.

Also everyone, I need a little help from you all. If anybody has any pictures of my father, regardless of whoever else is in the picture, could you please try your best to scan and email me as many pictures as you can? During the funeral they are going to put up a slideshow of pictures and I would love for that slideshow to have plenty of content.

Another thing I need help from everyone is his eulogy. If anybody knows facts about my father like, when he came to the US or what high school he attended or when he started working at a certain place, etc.… It would help me out tremendously. Plus, just knowing this information will help me and my sister better know our father and remember what he did in his life.
