Valerie Klock

Valerie Klock, beloved mother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully at her home on August 18, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born in Hollywood, California to Charles and Elaine Klock, Valerie faced responsibility early in life. When circumstances prevented her from completing high school in the traditional manner, she refused to allow them to end her education. She attended night school in San Diego to complete her studies and later pursued occupational training, earning her legal secretary diploma.

As a single mother, Valerie was devoted above all else to her son, Brandon. Determined to build a secure life for the two of them, she relocated to Los Angeles and began what would become a long and successful career in the legal profession.

Starting as a receptionist at a well-established downtown Los Angeles law firm, Valerie worked long hours while raising her son and steadily advanced through the ranks, ultimately becoming office manager. She continued as a legal administrator for the remainder of her career.

Later transitioning into family law, Valerie brought more than her considerable professional experience to her work. She had genuine compassion for clients who were often facing some of the most difficult periods of their lives, offering them support and reassurance along the way. Her warmth and willingness to help became so familiar to many that she was affectionately known as “Your Pal Val.”

Valerie’s professional life reflected many of the qualities that defined her personally: determination, loyalty, compassion, an extraordinary work ethic, and a deep sense of responsibility. She was fiercely loyal and devoted to the people for whom she worked, frequently putting the needs of her employers and colleagues ahead of her own. 

After her retirement, Valerie enjoyed having more time for family, pursuing her own interests, and sharing that time with her son.

Those who knew Valerie will also remember her unmistakable sense of humor, quick wit, and well-honed sarcasm. She could find humor in the everyday and was rarely at a loss for a clever observation or perfectly timed remark.

Valerie’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her, but so much of Valerie remains—in the memories she created, the laughter she inspired, and the lives made better simply because she was part of them.
