Una Bardowell

Una Bardowell, born Hamaty on February 3, 1923, in Jamaica, gracefully departed this life on August 16, 2025, at Providence St. Joseph. She is remembered as a vibrant and dynamic individual who illuminated the lives of those around her.

Una was a dedicated Avon Representative for over 60 years and was frequently recognized as number one in her district. Her commitment to her career was matched only by her passion for connecting with people, a testament to her engaging personality. Known for her impeccable style, Una never left the house without being well dressed and made up, embodying the very essence of poise and grace.

Her proudest accomplishments were her two beloved children, Angela and Richard, who brought her immeasurable joy throughout her life. Una was a true people person, lighting up any room she entered and drawing others to her infectious spirit. Her warmth and wisdom were cherished by family and friends alike.

A lover of good food, drink, and joyous gatherings, Una had a keen interest in travel, exquisite dining, and fine wine. She also found pleasure in the theatre and spent joyful times playing slots in Las Vegas. At home, she delighted in entertaining, creating memorable opportunities for laughter and dancing amongst friends and family.

Una’s memory will be lovingly upheld by her children, Angela and Richard, and she is preceded in death by her devoted husband, John.

Visitation will take place on September 2, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills - Faith Chapel in Los Angeles, CA. A funeral service will follow on September 3, 2025, starting at 12:30 PM at the Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills.
