Tuanngan Nguyen

Tuanngan Nguyen, 58, born on September 1, 1955 in Shanghai, China, passed away May 20, 2014. He resided in West Hollywood, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.

Mr. Tuanngan Nguyen was born on September 1, 1955 to Fuxing Ruan and Xingzhen Zhang in Shanghai, China. He finished high school in the tumultuous years of political unrest in China and had a chance to attend vocational school. After he graduated, he worked for many years in an auto parts manufacturing company, a joint venture between China and a German company. Through high school and at work, he was active in sports, playing guard in the school and company basketball teams.
He was married to Yi Xin Wang and have a daughter Ingrid. In 1997, he and his wife immigrated to the US. They finally settled down in Los Angeles where Tuanngan learned to be a sushi chef. Their daughter later joined them in the US.
Unfortunately, the marriage did not work out and they were divorced few years ago.
Tuanngan was disagnosed with ALS two and half years ago and his body became weaker over time. His daughter stayed by his side throughout that process until his untimely death on May 20, 2014.
Mr. Nguyen was a very generous and selfless person, always caring for others, and always willing to share.
He is survived by his parents, two brothers, and a daughter. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
