Troy Sooter, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025 in Downey, California. Born on December 20, 1940 in Oak Grove, Arkansas. Troy's journey through life was characterized by his unwavering dedication to his family and his remarkable sense of humor, which he shared generously with all who knew him.

A consummate professional, Troy enjoyed a successful career at Boeing, from which he ultimately retired. His commitment to his work was matched only by the love and devotion he showed to his family. He cherished his role as a husband, nurturing a loving partnership and as a father, providing guidance and support to his children. The joy he derived from his grandchildren brought further light into his life, reflecting the strong familial bonds he fostered.

Troy’s passing leaves a profound impact not only on his immediate family—his loving wife, children, and grandchildren—but also on his brother and a wide circle of friends who fondly remember him for his wit and warmth.

Visitation services will be held on January 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630. Following this, a funeral service will take place on January 9, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at the same location, in the Patriots Chapel.
