Trinidad P. Cipriano, affectionately known as Nanay, passed away on February 17, 2025, in her familial home in Long Beach, California, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth. Born on June 4, 1955, in Apalit, Pampanga, Trinidad embraced life with an open heart and a generous spirit that touched everyone around her.
With a career spanning 26 years in the nursing field at Long Beach Memorial, Nanay dedicated her life to caring for others, exemplifying the virtues of selflessness and compassion. She was not only a caregiver to her patients but also a beloved matriarch to her family, which she cherished deeply. Her proudest accomplishments were her five grandchildren—Ava, Trystan, Avery, Oliver, and Sophia—who adored their loving grandma and will forever carry the memories of her nurturing ways in their hearts.
Trinidad was known for her incredible cooking, especially her world-famous sinigang that would bring the whole family together, particularly during holidays and parties. Her talent in the kitchen was just one aspect of her vibrant personality; she was known for being kind, giving, and hardworking. Nanay had an undeniable passion for shopping, often seeking out outlets near casinos, or participating in playful adventures to Las Vegas and Pechanga, all while ensuring that the family’s bellies were always full.
She enjoyed simple pleasures, such as watching Family Feud and connecting with loved ones through social media and Filipino teleserias. Through her hobbies and interests, she kept the bonds of family alive, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.
Trinidad's educational journey began at FEATI University in Manila, followed by studies at St. Augustine College in Baliuag, Bulacan, Philippines. These academic achievements laid a strong foundation for her future, instilling in her the value of hard work and perseverance.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Aubrey Ann and Stasha Kay; her cherished grandchildren, Ava Triana, Trystan Anthony, Avery Tuscan, Oliver Leo, and Sophia Kaleia; and her brother, Melencio. Trinidad is reunited in spirit with her late husband, Leopoldo; daughter, Kelly Cresta; father, Bienvenido; and mother, Magdalena, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
As family and friends gather to celebrate her life, visitation services will be held on March 11 and 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Forest Lawn - Cypress, followed by a funeral service on March 13, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Patriots Chapel.
Trinidad P. Cipriano, famously known as "Babes/Baby" with her friends, and Nanay to her loved ones, will be remembered not just for the roles she played throughout her life, but for the love she so selflessly gave to each and every person fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy is one of unwavering love, and her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those she touched.
