Tony Dena Moreno

Tony Dena Moreno, 91, born on January 16, 1931, in Watts, CA, United States, called home to his eternal rest October 20, 2022. He resided in Carson, CA at the time of his passing. Tony was married to his wife Angie for 72 glorious years. He is survived by his wife, Angie and nine children, Shirley Saldana, Alice Villa, Mary Moreno, Tony Moreno, John Moreno and Mike Moreno, Sue Lowder, Margaret DiBella (deceased), Frank Miranda (deceased). Tony and Angie were blessed to have over 35 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great, Great Grandchildren. He worked for PPG in Torrance, CA for 42 years before retiring in 1991. He was drafted into the Korean War in 1952 where he served proudly in the 7th Cavalry for two years and earned 4 medals including a Bronze Star. He enjoyed watching western movies, weekend football and was a lifelong Los Angeles Rams fan. He loved to garden in his back yard growing numerous fruit trees and had a strong passion for growing orchids. He lived a long, beautiful life and left his family with many loving memories. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Public viewing along with a reciting of the Rosary will be held on November 22st, 2022, at Forest Lawn, Long Beach, CA from 5pm to 9pm in the Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Philomena Church in Carson, CA on November 23, 2022, at 10:30am. Interment will immediately follow at Green Hills Cemetary in San Pedro, CA.
