Tommy Lu

Tommy Lu 盧嘉瑜, (72), of Eastvale, California, USA passed away in his sleep on February 26, 2024. Tommy was born to Wei Lin Lu 盧偉林 and Yue Lien Liang 梁月蓮, on February 24, 1952, in Yangon, Burma. He was the second child and oldest son of the family. When he was 13, his family left Burma and moved to Taiwan. He later went to National Cheng Kung University 國立成功大學 (NCKU) and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. According to lore he was an outstanding soccer player and was popular among friends. After graduating he started dating his future wife Alice 吳麗珠 whom he met while at university. They eventually got married on January 22, 1982. They settled down in Singapore where they raised their only son, Darren. During his time there, he was involved in multiple projects such as the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Changi Airport, and the construction of several elevated highways. Most importantly, it was in Singapore where Tommy became a Christian and became a follower of Christ Jesus. He was baptized with his son in 1990. He  immigrated for the last time in 1999 to California, USA and partnered with his wife, Alice, helping her out at her family child care. He was remembered fondly by the children as 盧爺爺 (Grandpa Lu). 

Tommy is a faithful servant of our God, a filial son, a responsible husband and father, and a loving grandfather. 

Tommy is survived by his wife Alice, son, Darren, daughter-in-law, Adele, granddaughter, Janelle, and grandsons, Asher, Levi, and Nathanael. He is also survived by his younger sister, Danni, and youngest brother, Jia Rui. Tommy is predeceased by his parents, Wei Lin and Yue Lien, his older sister Dan Rong, and his younger brother Jia Wen. 

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA. Tommy's family will have a graveside service on March 7, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to his home church, Norco Community Christian Church via Zelle nccc1417@yahoo.com in Tommy's name.

盧嘉瑜， 72 歲，居住在美國加州伊斯特韦尔市（Eastvale, California），於 2024 年 2 月 26 日在睡夢中安詳主懷。嘉瑜生於 1952 年 2 月 24 日，出生於緬甸仰光，父親盧偉林，母親梁月蓮。他是家中的老二，也是長子。當他 13 歲時，他的家人離開了緬甸，移居到台灣。後來，他就讀於國立成功大學（NCKU），就讀機械工程系。據傳說，在大學時，他是一位傑出的足球員，並且在朋友中很受歡迎。畢業後，他開始與大學同學吳麗珠交往，並在 1982 年 1 月 22 日結婚。之後，他們定居在新加坡，在那裡撫養了他們唯一的兒子威誠。在那段時間，他參與了許多工程建設，例如新加坡的地鐵（MRT）,機場和幾條高架公路的建設。最重要的是，在新加坡時，嘉瑜認識了基督耶穌，成為了基督徒。他和兒子於 1990 年一同受洗。在 1999 年，他們一家再次的移民至美國加州，最後與妻子麗珠合作，在他們的家辦托兒所，協助她。孩子們常常親切叫他「盧爺爺」。

嘉瑜是個為主熱心服事主的弟兄，孝順的兒子，盡責的丈夫跟父親，和藹可親的爺爺。

嘉瑜的家人包括妻子麗珠、兒子威誠、兒媳宛曄、孫女得人以及孫子得魚、得羊和得糧。他還有一個妹妹丹妮和小弟弟嘉瑞。嘉瑜的父母盧偉林和梁月蓮、姐姐丹蓉以及弟弟嘉文已早他一步離世。

嘉瑜的喪禮安排由加州科维纳Forest Lawn負責。他的家人將於 2024 年 3 月 7 日下午 12:30 在墓地舉行追思禮拜。请考虑向他的家乡诺科社区基督教会捐款 Zelle nccc1417@yahoo.com，以代替鲜花。
