Tomas Pineda de Guzman, Jr., 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Santa Rosa, California. He was born in Lingayen, Pangasinan in the Philippines on January 22, 1931 . He was the oldest of five children of the late Tomas Ferrer de Guzman, Sr. and the late Dolores Pineda de Guzman.

He received his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines and later obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree. He worked for over twenty years for the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) in Makati City. He left as an Executive Officer, a position second in line to the Governor.

He married Ruth Sison Buenafe on July 20, 1952 in Pangasinan. They resided with their children in a house they built in Pasig, Rizal, Metro Manila. In 1981 he immigrated with his family to the United States of America. They settled in Santa Rosa, California. Tom was a devout Catholic. He was an active parishioner and volunteer at Saint Eugene's Cathedral.

Tomas is survived by his wife, Ruth and eight children: Elaine Bigay, Christina Mamuyac, Darius de Guzman, Thomas de Guzman, Michael de Guzman, Patricia de Guzman, Grace Towner, and Caroline de Guzman. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Michael Bigay, Carlo Bigay, Christopher Bigay, Chino Mamuyac, Sofia Mamuyac, Monique Mamuyac, Anthony de Guzman, Martin de Guzman, Cecily de Guzman, Gianni de Guzman, Natalie Towner, Rachel Towner and two great-grandchildren, Kyle Bigay and Isabelle Bigay.

His love, laughter, and generosity will be missed by all. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Daniels Chapel of the Roses in Santa Rosa, California and Forest Lawn in Glendale, California.
