Timothy Frank Moore

November 18, 1946 — August 17, 2018

Timothy Frank Moore died on August 17, 2018. He was 71 years old.

Timothy was born on November 18, 1946 in Champaign, IL to his parents, Vail and Helen Moore. He and his brother, Robert, spent their childhood years in Illinois and Michigan. Timothy attended Paxton High School in Paxton, IL before studying Communications at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1968. He married Sharon Ann Siegel in 1973, and they moved to Los Angeles, CA. Timothy and Sharon's first son, Sean, was born in 1976. Their second-born son, Brendan arrived in 1979, less than a year after the family relocated to what would become their permanent home in Diamond Bar, CA.

Timothy spent the bulk of his professional career working for New York Life Insurance Company as a Life Insurance Agent and Financial Planner. During the course of his 33-year career, he earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Helping families and individuals prepare for a secure financial future was more than a career for Timothy--it became his passion.

Another of Timothy's passions was classical music, which he was able to share with the community during the summer and winter months for ten years through his weekly show, "Going For Baroque" on the Claremont Colleges' radio station, KSPC. He was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, an avid reader, a lover of puns and trivia, and enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States and overseas.

Timothy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Moore of Diamond Bar, CA, his sons, Sean and Brendan Moore, and his brother, Robert (Diane Johnson) Moore of Paxton, IL. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Vail and Helen Moore.

Funeral Services for Timothy will be held at the Church of our Heritage at Forest Lawn in Covina, CA on Thursday, August 30 at noon. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Timothy's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Timothy's name to The American Heart Association or The Salvation Army.
