Timothy Joseph Floresca-Toledo, of Chino Hills, California, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 35 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Known lovingly as “Tim” to his family and friends, he will be remembered for his gentle heart, his faith, and his unwavering optimism.
Born on February 22, 1990, in White Plains, New York, Tim spent most of his childhood in Guam, where he graduated from Harvest Christian Academy. With a warm curiosity about the world and a deep desire to engage in public service, he continued his studies at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, earning his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While in college, Tim worked as a canvasser for the 4th District California Democratic Party, channeling his belief in community and civic engagement into the work he loved.
Following his graduation, Tim built a dedicated career as a shipping associate at the Walmart Distribution Center in Chino, where he worked for six years. His drive to keep learning led him to pursue additional certifications in the field of healthcare, completing his Professional Coding certification through the American Association of Professional Coders in 2023.
Beyond his career, Tim’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He cherished gatherings during holidays and loved being part of his church community at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, where he was an active member of the young adult group. A lover of the outdoors, Tim enjoyed hiking, 5K runs, and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. He was also an enthusiastic fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tim is survived by his parents, Jim and Grace Murphy, and a host of family and friends who loved him deeply. As he once shared on his Facebook page, “You can’t do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth.” Tim lived those words fully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, courage, and love.
