Timothy Patrick Balderama, 65, of Downey, CA passed away peacefully November 15, 2012, at his home. He was born in Torrance, CA. Tim was born to the late Faustino and Nora Lea Balderama and was the beloved husband of Disa Balderama for over 34 years.

Tim will be forever remembered by his devoted children Ian Humburger, Erin Balderama Burrows and her husband Darren Barrows, Tandra Balderama and her fiancée Ken Wilkes, four treasured granddaughters Savannah Humburger, Emma Humburger, Bailey Barrows and Zoe Barrows, along with countless family and friends whom were blessed to know him.

Tim attended Pius X High School in Downey, CA, He joined the US Air Force following high school. He served as a Sargent with the United States Air Force Phillipines Air Defense Control Center. He was a Radio Operator of the Cross Tell Net. He was stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base in Novato, Ca. He was also stationed overseas in Saigon. Upon his return, he became a butcher. He worked many years in the grocery business, ultimately retiring from Costco working both as a butcher and manager of their meat department.

More than anything, Tim enjoyed spending time with his family. To those closest to him, he was known simply as "Papa". Some of his favorite activities included family dinners, swimming in his pool with his grandchildren, playing golf with friends, barbequing & drinking good wine, and watching his favorite team players get drafted through the ranks. He was an avid sports fan and loved the UCLA Bruins. Tim enjoyed classic rock music and following politics. He had a natural athletic ability and was an outstanding basketball player during his years at Pius X High school.

Tim touched the lives of many people with his smile and zest for life. He had a generous heart and kind soul. Tim will remain in our hearts and be deeply missed.
