Tianqiang (John) Liao

It is with immense sadness we announce that Tianqiang Liao passed away on August 25, 2026 at the age of 70, after three long years of battling cancer. He is survived by his wife, Dejiao; his only child and son-in-law, Wendy and Richard; his only grandson, Shawn; his 2 brothers - Yongqiang and Junqiang; 6 sisters - Yuqing, Liqing, Yanqing, AiQing, Meiqing, and Xueqing, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces; as well as his little Chihuahua, Fufu.

Tianqiang was born in Shishan, part of Meizhou County, in China on May 17, 1956. After high school, he started to learn repairing vehicles with his father. Eventually, he joined one of the largest auto repair organizations in Meizhou as an auto mechanic, then was promoted to supervisor. Throughout his career, Tianqiang was a great mentor who inspired and taught many technicians to not only repair cars, but to truly understand the functions, diagnostics, and repair standards.

In 1981, he married his wife, Dejiao. In 1983, he and his wife welcomed their daughter, Wendy.

In late 1993, Tianqiang, his wife, and daughter immigrated to United States to pursue a better life. After two years living in Oklahoma, the family moved to Southern California and had been calling it home since.

Tianqiang was a devoted, hardworking, and caring husband and father. He was passionate about cars and loved his family more than anything. He especially adored his only grandson - Shawn. In his spare time, he was a homebody. He enjoyed coffee and tea, various types of Chinese food, visiting Costco couple times a month, watching horse racing, and spending time with family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and those who knew him.

A nicheside memorial service is scheduled on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10:30am.

我們懷著無比悲痛的心情宣告廖添強先生於2026年8月25日逝世、享年70歲。他與癌症抗爭了三年。他身後留下了妻子德嬌；唯一的女兒和女婿、Wendy和Richard；唯一的孫子Shawn；以及他的兩個兄弟: 勇強和均強；六個姐妹: 玉清、利清、燕清、愛清、美清、和雪清；許多堂表兄弟姊妹、姪子姪女；以及愛犬吉娃娃: 福福。

廖添強先生於1956年5月17日出生於中國梅州市石扇鎮。高中後，他開始跟著父親學習修車。最終，他進入梅州一家大型汽車修理廠擔任汽車修理工, 後來晉升為主管。 在整個職業生涯中，添強是一位傑出的導師，他不僅指導眾多技術人員掌握汽車維修技能，更引領他們真正理解汽車的功能原理、診斷方法及維修標準。

1981年，他與妻子德嬌結婚。 1983年，他們的女兒Wendy出生。

1993年末，添強攜妻女移民美國, 追求更美好的生活。在俄克拉荷馬州住了兩年後，一家人搬到南加州，從此定居於此。

添強是一位忠誠、勤奮、慈愛的丈夫和父親。他熱愛汽車，視家人如生命。他尤其疼愛他唯一的孫子Shawn。閒暇時，他喜歡待在家中。他喜歡喝咖啡喝茶，品嚐各種中餐，每月去幾次好市多（Costco），觀看賽馬比賽，以及與家人共度時光。他的家人、朋友們以及所有認識他的人都將深深懷念他。
