Kingston, NH: Thomas E. Moore, 88, of Kingston died on November 11, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Born, raised, and educated in Malden, MA, son of the late John E. and Mabel L. (Lowler) Moore, he graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1943 and was a member of the Varsity Football team. He served in the Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged with the rank of Electrician Mate 3rd Class. He was a recipient of the American Area Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon, and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Star.
Following his discharge from the Navy, Mr. Moore worked as an electrician. He was a member of the Local 103 IBEW of Boston for 66 years. He was also a member of Kingston Congregational Church, the Carl David Post #34 of the American Legion, and a life member of the YMCA of Haverhill.
Mr. Moore loved to tinker with his 1997 Chevy S-10. He also enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Jacqueline (Rider) Moore, his sons, Thomas E. Moore, Jr. of Amesbury, MA, Stephen Moore and his wife Lee of Manchester, NH, and David Moore of Reno, NV, step-sons, Dr. Craig Amnott, M.D. and his wife Yong Ae of New Windsor, NY, Glenn Amnott and his wife Tammy of Pittsfield, a step daughter, Nicole Tongue and her fiancé Gregory Baker of Medfield, MA, a daughter, Melissa Buckjune of Haverhill, MA, and ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Harrison.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will begin on Saturday, November 16 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown, MA and will be followed by his memorial service at Kingston Congregational Church, Kingston, NH.
