Thomas Robert Mccormick

Thomas Robert McCormick, 75, left this world on Thursday, August 7, 2014. He has been reunited with his wife, Janet and son, Chuck.

He was born on June 28, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Clarence and Jeanette McCormick and is survived by his sisters, Jeanne and Judy, his son, Mike and daughter, Patti, his grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda, Robert, Damien, Megan, Mystique and Cory as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Tom was a kind and loving man who enjoyed a round of golf, watching sports (ALL sports), drinking beer (room temperature!) and coffee (also room temperature!) and eating cake.

He cherished his family (almost as much as cake) and he loved meeting new people and making them laugh. He appreciated a quick wit and believed that a little sarcasm made everything more entertaining. He was pretty clever, and funny, for a little old white guy (as he referred to himself) and he was delighted by anyone who could keep up with him.

Tom would want those he loved and who will remember him always not to make too big a fuss over him. Celebrate his life by sharing good food, a warm beer and don't forget the cake!

A Memorial in Tom's honor will be held at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills on Saturday, August 23rd at 1:30pm followed by a BBQ at Patti's house, where there will be plenty of cake! Please send a Facebook message to Patti for address & directions.
