Plaistow, NH: Theresa E. (Kane) Stevens, 41, a resident of Plaistow since 2012, and a former resident of Kingston, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Newburyport, MA and raised in Amesbury, MA she attended Whittier Regional Vocational and Technical High School and Lisbon Regional High School.
Employed as a dispatcher and driver for Provider Enterprises of Brentwood NH, Theresa also enjoyed several years as a stay at home mom raising her three children. She was involved in the Girl Scouts of America program and as a devoted mother involved in her children's activities and was a basketball coach in the Plaistow Recreation League.
Theresa enjoyed camping, fishing, trips and vacations to Vermont and time with her family at Big Island Pond.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, John A. Stevens, her children, Brittani M. Field, Hayden G. Field, and Elaina A. Field, her mother and step-father, Diane (Bezanson) and Michael Welch of Amesbury, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Tabatha A. Kane of San Antonio, TX, and Suzanne M. and Darren Johnston of Newton, MA, a brother Derek J. DeBoisbriand of Amesbury, maternal grandmother Lorraine (Chute) Bezanson of Lyman, NH, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joan and Terence Stevens of Hampstead, a brother in law, Chris Stevens, stepbrothers Michael and Donnie Welch and stepsister Shauna Welch , all of Newburyport, a special aunt and caregiver Carole Vadeboncoeur and her husband Lewis of Haverhill , and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa's Life Celebration to be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 7:15 at the funeral home.
