Theresa M. Gibbons

Theresa M. Gibbons, age 81 of Hampstead, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 4, 2014.

She was born on January 15, 1933 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late William and Blanche (Cartier) Gibbons. She was raised and educated in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School, Class of 1950. She received her Associates Degree from Fisher Junior College in 1952.

Theresa had worked for the Federal Government in various agencies, including the Pentagon and the Social Security Administration in Washington, DC, Seattle, WA and Denver, CO. In her retirement, she had worked as an administrative assistant at Prescott Nursing Home in No. Andover.

She was a very spiritual person who was very devoted to the Catholic Church. She was active as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anne's Church in Hampstead and formerly at St. Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA. Theresa loved to spend time with and care for her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She will be sadly missed by her entire family.

Theresa is survived by her brother, Thomas Gibbons and his wife, Candice of Spartanburg, SC. Her sister-in-law, Miriam Gibbons of Peterborough, NH. Several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her brother, William H. Gibbons, Jr., her sister, Marilyn F. Blackwell and her husband, John M. Blackwell.

Family and friends are invited to attend Ms. Gibbons' Life Celebration on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 4-6:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. Her funeral will begin on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 9 AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Anne's Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH 03841. Burial will follow in St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
