Theresa ("Terry") Bannon, born Theresa Gonzales on April 18, 1920, in Hoboken, N.J., joined her loved ones and Heavenly Father on December 12, 2012. Her greatest joy in life was her singing and laughter which she brought to many others who crossed her path. She would often sing her own renditions of "Embraceable You" and "Bill Bailey" with her signature "wiggle". She entertained on cruise ships, the Catskills on stage, and recently in La Quinta Senior Center with the Desert Oasis Strummers. The renowned "Andre Rieu" posted a picture of her on his website after his 2007 concert at Radio City Music Hall. She won numerous awards throughout her lifetime and was a dedicated volunteer for Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. In 1942, she married Steven Nochta and lived in Lodi, N.J. In 1944, she gave birth to her daughter, Diane. "Terry" as everyone called her was a dedicated "working Mom" and wife for over 18 years. In 1956, she moved to the "Jersey Shore" and worked for Shop-Rite of Toms River, N.J., where she made many friends. In 1968, she married Joseph Bannon. He predeceased her in 1996. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Steven Nochta, her mother Florence Agnes Gonzales, her stepfather John Boehner. She is survived by her daughter Diane and son-in-law Andre Prades of La Quinta, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Deborah Lepre; and several nieces and nephews. Her move to La Quinta was one of her happiest. She enjoyed the Palm Springs Follies, the star memorabilia and beautiful landscape and mountain views that this area has to offer. Here she "entertained" and made new friends at the senior center. A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Cathedral City on December 18, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Catholic Service will be held at Forest Lawn Cathedral City on December 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. Interment will be private at Forest Lawn Cathedral City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, N.J.
