Thelma L. Van Putnam

Thelma Van Putnam, of Palm Springs, Calif., passed away May 27, 2014 in Palm Springs of natural causes. She was born January 3, 1928 to BC Van and Jane Van in San Bernardino, Calif. She was a waitress for over 30 years at Vince's Spaghetti Restaurant in Ontario, Calif. She was a member of Mizell Senior Center and the Desert Hot Springs Senior Center. She loved to sing and performing with her friends. Music was her passion. She is survived by her daughters, Connie Bethany and Bonnie Applegate of Grove, Okla., Debbie Sistrunk of Birchwood, Wis., and Lorrie Etchason of Palm Springs; son, Van Putnam of Oak Hills, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 12:00 pm in the Ramon Chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cathedral City.
