Plaistow, NH: Thelma A. "Ginger" (Fraize) Holmes, 90, a resident of Plaistow since 1943, died on June 27, 2016 at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont.

Born and raised in Andover, MA, daughter of the late William and Annetta (Cudmore) Fraize, she was a housewife and homemaker to her children and husband for many years and enjoyed making a warm, loving and inviting home for her family and their friends. She also operated Holmes' Antiques in Plaistow and operated a space at Red Bell Antiques of Kingston and was the co-owner of Knots Landing in Kingston.

A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Plaistow, Mrs. Holmes was also active as a member of the Pythian Sisters, The Triangle Guild, and The Women's Auxiliary of the Carl Davis Post of the American Legion, Plaistow.

A member and past Secretary of the NH. Archeological Society, she was active as a Den Mother for the Plaistow Cub Scouts in her younger years and served on the Committee for the Plaistow 200th Anniversary Celebration. She enjoyed Towle painting, braiding rugs, crocheting and knitting, and was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of seventy-two years, Paul E. Holmes, two sons, Barry G. Holmes and his wife Linda of Plaistow, and Paul H. Holmes and his partner, Stephen Archibald of Portsmouth, two sisters, Erna Sullivan of Wakefield, MA and Glenice Mosher of Exeter, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters, Elva Wellington, Mona Hill, June Hatch and Lucy Fraize and brothers Gilbert and Malcolm Fraize.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Holmes Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow.
