Terry Lee Scott, 68, of Long Beach, CA, passed away peacefully in his home on November 7th, 2023, ending a 7 month fight against leukemia.

Terry was born on July 27th, 1955 to Maurine and Louis Scott in Hollywood, CA. He was the youngest of four siblings, including sisters Karen and Karla, and brother Christopher.

Terry attended school in Long Beach, CA, and went on to pursue a career in firefighting. First, fighting wildfires for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, he was then hired by the City of Alhambra Fire Department where he spent 5 years as an Engineer. From there, he worked for the Long Beach Fire Department as an engineer where he served for 27 years, until his retirement in 2011. Terry spent a total of 32 years as a fireman, a career which he loved.

Terry was an adventurous man who loved the outdoors, camping, traveling, boating, and fishing. He was a dedicated husband and father, who coached both of his boys through Cypress Little League baseball, another job he loved. Terry was hardworking, had a high mechanical aptitude, and never gave up until the problem was solved. Terry will be remembered for sharing his travels with family and friends, helping his neighbors, and for being an excellent chef.

Terry is survived by his wife, Kari, and their two children, Ryan, and Kyle, and Karleen, his daughter-in-law. His older brother Christopher, and nieces Tina, Kristin, Megan, and Amanda, In-Laws Lisa and Scott, and nephews McKenzie and Fletcher.
