Terry Louanne Kranseler

Terry Louanne Kranseler, 64, born on August 11, 1953, in Carrollton , Illinois, passed away July 3, 2018. She resided in Indio, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California.

Terry loved her Illinois roots. Even after her family moved to Lompoc, California in 1958, she loved to return to Illinois to spend time on the farm and in Greenfield to be with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Many, many cousins. She cherished her close relationship with all her cousins. She continued those Illinois trips throughout her life. Much love and laughter was shared in those times.

Everyone who knew Terry in her elementary school, Jr High and High School years knew her as a lively, friendly, vivacious, kind and generous girl. Her life was filled with church and school activities: youth group, Guild Girls, summer and winter camps both as camper and counselor. She also loved being a flag twirler in High School, singing in the choir, and sitting in Mr. Petersen's Government class, where she met the love of her life, Robert Kranseler. Terry went to school at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois while Bob attended UCLA, where the phone lines were kept busy between Los Angeles and Wheaton. She graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Her job at Hunts was just one more opportunity for Terry to meet many people to bless with her smile and genuine affection. She loved and cared for everyone around her and that affection was returned.

Terry and Bob were married in Palm Springs on April 26, 1987. They belonged to a mutual admiration society for 31 years, and all their friends and family can attest that they were a match made in heaven.

Terry loved all the Kranseler family gatherings and cruises, and loved being part of the Kranseler clan as well as the Shields clan. She also adopted all of Bob's golfing buddies and their families as her extended family. They all enjoyed sumptuous lunches she supplied for the hungry golfers.

When we think of Terry we remember her beautiful smile and her loving, generous spirit. Bob loves and misses Terry and he thanks God for putting her in his life.

Terry is survived by her loving husband Robert and her three sisters, Shelley (David), Lorna (Marc) and Bonnie (Kenneth) and her brother Don (Robin). And nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Flowers may be sent to Forest Lawn in Cathedral City for the funeral service on Tuesday, July 10th, at 1:00 pm.
