Dr. Tania Rendón-Santiago passed away at age 35 on March 12, 2018, in San Antonio,
Texas. She was an intelligent, accomplished, and fun-loving Latina woman who inspired
those around her. Dr. Rendón was a dedicated clinical psychology fellow at the South
Texas Veterans Health Care System. She specialized in Geropsychology and was
passionate about multicultural integration into all areas of practice. Dr.Rendón
graduated in 2017 from Texas A&M University with a Doctorate in Philosophy in
Counseling Psychology where her research focused on caregiver well-being. She also
held a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology from California State University, San
Marcos. She devoted much of her life to understanding others across the lifespan,
promoting mental health, and challenging stigma. Dr.Rendón was a valued and beloved
member of her field.
Dr. Tania Rendon-Santiago was the oldest and only daughter of the Rendon-Santiago
family. She grew up in Palm Springs, graduating from Palm Springs High School and
attended College of the Desert. She was a very mature and responsible child, always
taking care of her two younger brothers. Dr. Rendon-Santiago loved her family and they
were her motor to accomplish all her goals. She enjoyed playing board games with her
family and friends, dining, going to the movies, and staying home and talking for hours
about memories together. Her awareness and knowledge about the needs of her
community allowed her to help many people, she was a unique human being with a
heart of gold. She loved animals, especially her two dogs Bailey and Riley. She had a
great appreciation for the multicultural diversity of the world. One of her favorite quotes
is "Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." -
Confucius. Te amamos y viviras por siempre en nuestro corazon.

Funeral service Friday March 30, 2018 at Forest Lawn at Cathedral City Ca, from 4:00 to 8:00 small ceremony at 6:00 to honor her life.
