Tamara Jean Schaeffer, 54, of Glendora, CA, passed away at 12:51 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her residence. Tammy was born on November 27, 1961, the daughter of Charles and Linda Schaeffer in Nashville, IL. She married Jorgen L. Argyle on November 14, 1992, and he survives her in Glendora, CA.
In addition to her husband, Tammy is survived by her daughters, Carly Argyle and Pavin Argyle; 3 brothers Mike (Maryanne) Schaeffer of Nashville, IL; Doug (Gloria) Schaeffer of Oakdale, IL; Tim (Mel) Schaeffer of Oakdale, IL; 1 sister Jamie (Scott) Juenger of Oakdale, IL; 2 brother-n-laws Gary Argyle of Ogden, UT and Nolan (Margarette) Argyle of Valdosta, GA; 1 sister-n-law Sonja (Brent) Buttars of Smithfield, UT; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Charles Schaeffer; mother-n-law and father-n-law Rell and Lillie Argyle: a sister-n-law Karen Price; her grandparents Lester and Lois Emrick, and Harry and LaVon Schaeffer; and several aunts and uncles.
Tammy graduated from Nashville Community High School in 1979. She continued her education at the University of Illinois and received a bachelor's degree in Architecture in 1984. She worked briefly in St. Louis, MO before making the move to CA. Once she was settled in CA she took on a job with Carmichael Kemp Architects and through the years she worked her way up to co-owning the firm with her business partner Mark Kemp.
Tammy enjoyed the fine arts of music and theater and during high school was cast as Aunt Eller in the musical "Oklahoma." She also won the title of the Little Egypt Pork Queen during her senior year in high school. Tammy loved her career and loved spending time with her family. She was loved and respected by everyone.
Tammy's Celebration of Life will be on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 6 p.m. at Forest Lawn in Covina, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to the City Of Hope in Duarte, CA.
