Susan Lee Krueger, a beacon of love and warmth, left this world on April 22, 2025, in Riverside, California, at the age of 76. Born on April 28, 1948, in Pasadena, California, she was a radiant spirit who illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
The cherished daughter of Grover Cleveland Sinsley and Carol Sinsley, Susan's journey through life was marked by kindness, humor, and a remarkable nurturing spirit. It was this very essence that created countless memories, particularly those filled with laughter, where stories were shared and arm pinches were had (her sons could tell you about this). Culminating her creative pursuits, Susan passionately wrote poems and short stories, most of which were never shared. She embodied the heart of an aspiring writer, always seeking to capture the vibrancy of life in words. She never missed a beat at sending a card or a small token on every occasion, showing her love for her family.
As a mother, Susan's heart expanded beyond measure, giving her three children—Adam, Carri, and James—a love that went far beyond the ordinary. She took pride in her family, considering her kids and the love shared with her late husband, James Russell Krueger II, among her proudest accomplishments. She loved her grandchildren immensely and those times will always be remembered fondly by her children and grandchildren, especially the times she crawled up the treehouse ladder to partake in the slide with her "little Pistol" Hazel and scared her son Adam.
Her charming personality drew family and friends near, creating a sanctuary for those around her. A loving and giving soul, she welcomed everyone with open arms and a bright smile. Susan was always the first to welcome a neighbor and make a new friend. Susan’s humor shone brightly, bringing light into the lives of those who sought her companionship. It was said that her kindness seemed to know no limits; she was always the first to offer help to those in need and made everyone feel at home.
Susan loved movies, books and music. She spent lots of her free time, enjoying watching her favorite actors on screen. Susan also loved to knit and to make handmade gifts.
Susan now joins her beloved husband, James, watching over her cherished family. She leaves behind her devoted son, Adam David Denny Krueger, and his wife, Emily; her loving daughter, Carri Krueger; and her dear son, James Russell Krueger III. Her legacy lives on in her mother, Carol, and in the playful spirits of her grandchildren—Ashley, Christy, Candace, Kristopher, James, Jonny, Lindsey, Sophia, Ryder, Savannah, and her "Little Pistol" Hazel Jean and her great-grandchildren — who will carry forth her laughter, love, and life lessons.
As we reflect on the beautiful life Susan lived, we celebrate her memory as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her essence remains etched in our hearts, and the kindness she imparted will continue to ripple through generations. In every story shared, every laugh echoed, and every moment cherished, Susan Lee Krueger will forever be alive in our memories. She was the epitome of everything that was loving and kind. She is truly missed by her friends and especially her family.
A Celebration of Life will be taking place on July 12, 2025, in Corona, California. If you could like information and details regarding this please email Emily Krueger, pureaffinity@gmail.com.
After this Susan and James Krueger's ashes will be taken out to sea together and spread into the Ocean, per their request.
