Susan Jennifer (Stein) Habicht

Susan Jennifer (Stein) Habicht, 66 of Palm Springs, California passed away peacefully in her home on June 15, 2025. She was born April 11, 1959, in Los Angeles, California and was a devoted wife, stepmother, grandmother, and friend. A lifelong resident of Palm Springs; Susie was a cherished member of the community, and a member of the American Legion, Post 519, ladies auxiliary. Susie loved dancing and all things water related. She learned how to sail and scuba dive; and one could frequently find her in her swimming pool or favorite vacation destination in Hawaii. She also loved flying and had experienced the thrilling pleasure of flying in a glider, hot air balloon, and even barrel rolled in a bi-plane! She did however have a deep disdain for hiking. She would say with a twinkle in her eye, “if we were meant to hike, we would have been born with hooves”.

She is survived by her loving family, husband, Dennis Habicht, Stepdaughter, Brigitte Wahlbeck (Gary Wahlbeck), Grandchildren, Brannon Neale (Kaisa Neale) and Ashley McGrain (Ryan McGrain), and Great Grandchildren, Haylee and Landyn Wahlbeck, Bryar Neale, and Lincoln and Mallory McGrain. She was preceded in death by her father Fred Stein, mother Miriam Stein, brother Steven Stein and step-grandson Bryce Wahlbeck.
