Susan "Susie" Grimson, born on November 23, 1934, in Glendale, California, gracefully departed this world on December 10, 2024, in Northridge, California. With a heart as vibrant as her spirit, Susie's presence was a radiant light that brought warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
As the youngest daughter of Genevieve and Ted Kiser, she was raised in a home alongside her siblings—Sheila Stollmeyer, Sylvia Weinert, and Alan Kiser. They shared laughter, dreams, and the bittersweet moments of life, forming bonds that would last a lifetime. The loss of her beloved husband, Ernie Grimson, left a poignant void in her life, yet Susie's strength and resilience inspired those around her.
Throughout her years, Susie embraced the role of mother with profound devotion, raising her children—Juliet and Gerry Grimson—with unwavering love and guidance. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Misti, with open arms, further expanding the circle of love in their family. The joy she found in her grandchildren, Joshua, Joel, and Anna, brought sparkle to her life, as she played the cherished role of grandmother, nurturing the next generation with kindness and wisdom.
Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with memories that span the decades, filled with gatherings that echoed with laughter and the sweet fragrance of shared meals. Susie cultivated a spirit of togetherness that will forever resonate within the hearts of her family.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Susan's life at the Funeral Service on March 1, 2025, at Forest Lawn - Glendale - Wee Kirk o' the Heather. This gathering will honor a remarkable woman whose laughter and love will be deeply missed. In those moments, her stories will be recounted, her kindness remembered, and her legacy cherished.
