Surjit Singh Bassi
March 28, 1935 — July 26, 2022
Surjit moved to Nebraska in 1960 and earned a Masters degree in Education from the University of Nebraska. He taught mathematics at James Monroe High School from 1965 until 1997, played on and helped form the field hockey team LA Tigers, was an avid tennis player, enjoyed snow skiing, table tennis and racquet ball.
He is survived by his loving wife Satinder of almost 49 years, as well as his daughter Ravinder, son-in-law Jeff, granddaughter Olivia, son Jaspreet, and extended family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California. Religious services to follow at Valley Sikh Temple in Canoga Park, California.
