Steven Douglas Reno

May 27, 1942 — December 31, 2020

Steven Douglas Reno passed away on December 31, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born on May 27, 1942 in Taylorville, Illinois. After graduating from Taylorville High School in 1960, he moved to California and remained there for the duration of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl "Tani" of 54 years. Brother, Randy and wife Tanya of Taylorville, IL. Daughters Chris, husband Jimmy of Forest, VA; Shannon of Anaheim, CA; and Kelly, husband Todd of Fullerton, CA. Along with 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Blake, Mitchell and Ruby. He is preceded in death by son-in-law Roc Wyatt and his parents Joe "Duddy" and Zorraine "Sissy" Reno.

Steve and Tani spent 52 years in the same home in Anaheim, CA. Steve was a good fisherman, enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas, playing golf, going to sporting events and watching anything that would make him laugh. He was a fan of all sitcoms and he loved good jokes and comedy shows. He listened to all types of music and was a good dancer. He wouldn't miss an opportunity to sing along to a favorite tune or take a spin around the dance floor. Steve's most shining moments were spent watching his girls cook in the kitchen. As his family grew, dinners in his home watching everyone in the kitchen cooking, talking and laughing were treasured times.

Steve was a proud employee of the McDonnell-Douglas / Boeing corporation, working for the same company for 40 years. It is no coincidence, given Steve's love to bet on a good set of numbers, that he started work there on June 6, 1966 and retired on June 6, 2006.
