Stanley Malloye Dupree (Stan), 68, passed away on October 11, 2014 at his home in Palm Desert, California. Stan was born on September 7, 1946 to Bill and Dorothy Dowdy Dupree in Thomaston, Georgia.

Stan attended High School at R.E. Lee Institute in Thomaston, Georgia and received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, School of Law (Boalt Hall.) Stan served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Stan practiced law for a number of years in the San Francisco area, after which he became a professor at the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California. Stan later became the Executive Director of Human Resources.

Stan is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Rhonda Dupree of Palm Desert, his son Skip Dupree and his wife Angie Kunst-Dupree, his daughter Caroline Dupree Christie and her husband David Christie, his grandsons Jackson Dupree and Calvin Christie, and his granddaughters Kate Dupree and Scarlett Dupree, his sister, Phyllis Dupree Karlin and his brother Larry (Billy) Dupree. He was predeceased by his Father, Bill Dupree and his Mother, Dorothy Dowdy Dupree. Stan was a lifelong football fan of the Stanford Cardinal and the San Francisco Forty-Niners and an avid golfer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City, California on October 25, 2014 at 12 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to the "Stan Dupree Success Fund" in his honor, to continue the significant work Stan did in assisting students. Donations can be mailed to College of the Desert Foundation, 43-500 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert 92260.
