Sonja Juliane Herda

Sonja Juliane Herda, 67, passed away Thursday 3/14/19 after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. See was an amazing person who touched the lives of many people, and will be greatly missed by family, friends and colleagues. She was born in Reutte, Austria and her family migrated to the US when she was 10 years old. She spent most of her life in Huntsville, Alabama and Moorpark, California. Her focus and love has always been family. Especially the raising of her three children and caring for the grandchildren. She also had a passion for her career as a CPA, teaching at the university and her accounting practice. She is survived by her husband David Herda, Encino, CA, children Schatzi Tomson, Orange, CA, Christopher Herda, Marina Del Rey, CA, Jeffrey Herda Pasadena, CA, her father Meinrad Ostermann, Huntsville, AL, sister Anita Keeton, Madison, AL, and grandchildren Dillon Tomson, Charlotte Tomson and Miles Herda. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Friday 3/22/19 at 2:00 pm. The Church address is 5001 White Oak Avenue, Encino, CA 91436.
