Socorro Velasco

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Socorro Velasco on October 22, 2024, at the age of 87. Socorro, affectionately known as Coco, was born on February 14, 1937 in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico, to David Quirarte and Isabel Quezada.

Socorro met the love of her life and beloved husband, Ruben Velasco, and they shared life together for 72 years. Socorro was known for her kindness and unconditional love for her family and friends. 

Socorro loved life, whether it was playing records and singing along, or chatting on the phone with friends and family. She always found a way to make everyone's day brighter. She had the unique ability to make everyone feel special through her words and actions. She will always remain in our memories and in our hearts. 

Preceded in joining the Lord: Mother & Father, David Quirarte, Isabel Quezada, and daughter Marisela. Her brother Jose Quirarte, and sister-in-law Socorro Quirarte. Her nephew Gabriel Perez and niece Isabel Perez. 

Survived by: Husband Ruben, and sons Ruben, Victor, and Rick. Her daughters Rosa and Elizabeth, as well as daughters-in-law Eileen, Gloria, and Christy. Her son-in-law Samuel. Her sister Arcelia and brother-in-law Gabriel. As well as nephews; David, Jose, Louie, and Lionel. Her grandchildren Ruben, Andrew, Alessandra, Jamie, Jimmy, Eleana, and Ezra. As well as great grandchildren; Leilani, Domanic, and Peyton.
