Socorro “Nana” Juarez

Socorro Juarez Irigoyen went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday October 15, 2024. She was 94 years young. She was born on June 20th of the year 1930 in La Villa Nombre de Dios, Durango Mexico. Her parents were Angel Irigoyen and Juana Avila. Socorro was predeceased by her siblings Asuncion, Abel, and Jaime and survived by her sibling Jesus Alvarez. Socorro married Fernando Juarez on the 9th day of June in the year 1945. In 1962, Socorro and Fernando immigrated to United States with their two sons, Esequiel and Ociel. In that same year, Socorro accepted Christ and became a church member in Templo Belen, Los Angeles. Socorro “Nana” and Fernando “Tata” lived in California where she resided most of her life at the Rainbow Trailer Park in Bellflower. She worked at Tahitian Village as a house-keeper in Downey.  Nana loved reading her bible, taking care of her birds, watering her plants, sitting outside in front of her trailer, eating out at Hometown Buffet and occasionally Norms. Nana enjoyed talking to family and friends and keeping them in her prayers. Nana was a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, friend and neighbor. Her love and kindness radiated to everyone. We all have great stories and memories of our Nana.
