Sobhy Y. Joseph

Sobhy Y. Joseph, 91, born on August 1, 1925, in Alexandria, Egypt, passed away December 5, 2016 in Redlands, California. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esis Joseph and his three daughters, Randa Guindi-Joseph, Enas Joseph and Nivin Ghattas as well as his two grandsons, Daniel Guindi and Joseph Ghattas. He was the oldest of five brothers and is survived by Ramsey and Nazmy Joseph. Sobhy received his degree in Electrical Engineering at Cairo University and worked for the railroad in Egypt until 1978 when he immigrated to the United States. He worked for Southern California Edison for 16 years and retired to live in Seal Beach, California with his lovely wife in 1996. Sobhy was an extremely smart, strong, loving, caring and quiet man with an amazing smile. He never complained and was always thankful for all of God's blessings and mercies. His strong love for God was reflected in the way he lived and his constant response of "el hamdolella" or thanks be to God. His favorite verse: "All things work together for good to those who love God" (Romans 8:28). He resided in Loma Linda, California, at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. +
