Smilka Djukich

Smilka Djukich, 69 passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 27, 2026. At her side was her partner, Justine Jagoda, her beloved brother Dragan Djukic, her sister-in-law Linda, her cousin Nada Cabral, and her dear friend Linda Cohen.

She was born in former Yugoslavia and emigrated to the United States at an early age. She was the daughter of the late Milan and Nevenka Djukic.

She had a successful career as a hairstylist for over 40 years and was able to build a large and loyal following. Throughout her life she was known for her love, her kindness, her laughter, her spontaneity, her strength and brought joy to people. Her smile was infectious.

She is survived by her partner, Justine Jagoda, her brother Pero Djukic (the late Diane), her brother Dragan Djukic (Linda), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was my partner, my love, my best friend, my rock, my life, my everything. She was the reason I learned how to love and be loved. She helped me find peace and serenity in my life.
