Simon C. Varghese

Simon C. Varghese, son of late evangelist C.M. Varghese, Pallickal, Kayamkulam went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2019. He lived a faithful life as a humble servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and passed at a blessed age of 85, in Orange County, California where he resided for the last 31 years.

Born and raised in India in a Christian home, he followed God's direction on a path to America, where he spent the next 50 years raising his family and developing life-long friendships, first in New York, and then continuing to follow God's direction to California where by His Grace alone, Simon and his family prospered. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ammini, his three loving daughters; Anita (Curtis) Strickland, Marsha (Jose) Varghese, and Malisa (Viju) Cherian and his only son, Melvin. Simon's legacy is extended in his nine grandchildren; Christian, Amani, Samir, Julia, Asha, Emily, Rachel, Benjamin, and Jonathan. Simon attended the Brethren Assembly, Grace Bible Chapel in Fullerton, California where he served as a Deacon for over 25 years, and then as an Elder. His family, friends, and community he served were richly blessed by his generosity, kindness, and desire to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with his fellow man.
