Siham Abdo, 75, of Diamond Bar, California, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at her home on Minnequa Drive after an illness. A beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Siham will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warmth toward others, and her constant desire to understand and celebrate the world around her. Born on January 1, 1950, in Aleppo, Syria, Siham was the cherished daughter of the late Fares and Lydia Boutros Abdo. She grew up surrounded by family and lifelong friends in Aleppo, where she later became an elementary school teacher—a role that reflected her compassion, patience, and dedication to nurturing young minds. Siham’s life took her to Beirut, Lebanon, during the tumultuous 1980s, where she persevered through the country’s civil war with quiet strength and enduring optimism. In 1991, she immigrated with her parents to the United States, eventually settling in Southern California. There, she built a new life rooted in faith, friendship, and family, becoming an active member of her local church community. Known for her sincerity and kindness, Siham had a gift for connecting with others. She found joy in learning about different cultures and took great interest in the stories of those she met. Her creativity and resourcefulness shone through in her passions—gardening and cooking—where she blended traditions and ingredients with the same grace she brought to every part of her life. Siham is survived by her brothers Suheil, Samir, and Saleem Abdo, who will treasure her memory and the love she shared with them. A funeral service and burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina Hills, California, on December 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. All who knew Siham are warmly welcome to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
