Siervo Lopez Barrios, also known as ‘Bobby’, was a very caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, hard worker, and good friend. He left this world unexpectedly and suddenly passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 75.
Bobby was born to Feliza and Jose Barrios Sr. on September 23, 1948, in Manila, Philippines. He was the third child amongst six, with five brothers. A devout catholic, he attended Lourdes Catholic School and graduated from Santo Thomas High School in 1966. He went off to the University of Santo Thomas where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1970. Shortly after in 1971, he followed his older brothers to seek better opportunities in the United States where he became a Train Clerk with Southern Pacific Railroad in 1975 and persevered with the same company for the next 35 years. He was very proud to be part of the railroad company and was a dedicated hard worker, taking on graveyard shifts and as many overtime hours as possible to provide for his growing family and the new life he was building in Los Angeles, CA. In 1997, Bobby’s career even took him to St. Louis, MO where he resided there for 6 years. In 2003, he took on another opportunity to return to California, Union Pacific Railroad, to be closer to family, and to eventually retire in 2010. Bobby enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with family / friends, watching sports, listening to the news, and always cleaning every chance possible, which showed how much pride he had in the life he built. He always took great care of his environment and provided a safe, comfortable space for those he loved. He spent his remaining years in West Covina, CA.
Siervo Bobby Barrios is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Evelyn Hill Barrios, her daughters Joanne, Jackie, Justine, (son-in-law Kenneth), grandchildren (Clarissa, Jordyn, Jeremy, Kai, and Kaden), his beloved sons Robert and Vincent, their mother Linda, daughters-in-law (Annie and Amelia), his dearest grandchildren (Chloe, Sebastian, Owen, Max, Joaquin, and Maya), and his five brothers, who he could not live without (Kuya Orvi, Jiji, Pidy, Boysie, and Chito). The family deeply appreciates all the love and support during this difficult time as we keep Bobby's spirit and legacy alive in our hearts and memories.
