Shun Wing Wu

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shun Wing Wu, affectionately known friends and family as Wing, who departed this life on September 4, 2024. Born on March 14, 1977, in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, his journey through life was marked by generosity, kindness, and an unwavering spirit of caring for others.

A dedicated professional, Wing built a commendable career as a database administrator for The MLS, where he skillfully oversaw successful projects that showcased his remarkable attention to detail and expertise. His education at Mt Sierra College laid a solid foundation for his accomplishments, which included notable ventures such as working on litigation data discovery in Shanghai during the early 2000s. Wing's proudest moments were not limited to his professional life; memories of him practicing on the piano for endless hours, only to triumph with a first-place win at Raimondi College Primary School, evoke the joyful and determined essence of his character.

While Wing found joy in professional success, his greatest passion lay in the relationships he nurtured. A true embodiment of warmth, he showed his love and care through the simple act of sharing food, establishing deep connections with those around him. His hobbies included indulging in karaoke online, where he filled the air with melodic laughter, and building intricate Lego playsets, a testament to his creativity and playful spirit.

He leaves behind cherished family members who will forever hold his memory close: his loving parents, Chi Kit Wu and Shu Mei Wu, and his devoted brother, Shun Wah Wu. These family bonds were not merely defined by blood but enriched by the genuine love Wing radiated throughout his life.

As we gather to honor Shun Wing Wu, let us reflect on the impact he made in the lives of all who knew him. In the days to come, we invite friends and family to partake in the following services: a visitation on October 5, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Glendale; and a funeral service on October 12, 2024, beginning at 9:30 AM at the serene Wee Kirk o' the Heather chapel of Forest Lawn - Glendale.
