Plaistow, NH: Shirley Ann (Pereen) Ripley, 75, of Plaistow, NH, died on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, surrounded by her husband and other loving family members.
Born in Gloucester, MA, the daughter of William and Lillian (Amero) Pereen, she was raised in Essex, MA and educated in Gloucester and Georgetown, graduating from Georgetown High School. While a resident of Plaistow for fifty-two years she worked as a Waitress for Sawyers Restaurant and Foodish Thoughts and as a Hostess for Casey's Diner.
Mrs. Ripley loved spending time with her family in and around her home, especially seated underneath the maple tree in her yard or on her front porch. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and dancing, and especially loved the Rock and Roll music of the 1950's.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard W. Ripley; her mother, Lillian (Amero) (Pereen) Gonsalves of Georgetown, MA; two sons, Richard W. Ripley, Jr. and his wife, Raquel of Sharon, MA and Kevin M. Ripley of Atkinson; three daughters, Dawn Marie Ripley of Plaistow, Karen M. Senter and her husband, Clint of Plaistow and Sherri A. Coyle and her husband, Kevin of Plaistow; three sisters, Marylou Eveleth of Hampden, ME, Pam Witkum of Salisbury, MA and Lynne Gonsalves of Georgetown, MA; fourteen grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Clinton Senter, IV.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Ripley's Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 4 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Route 121A), Plaistow, NH. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
