Los Angeles

Shirley Lynn Frazier, a nurturing soul and devoted caretaker, departed this world on September 22, 2025, in Corona, California. Born on January 19, 1954, in Los Angeles, Shirley's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to others, a value that resonated throughout her remarkable career in nursing. For over 30 years, she dedicated herself to her patients, touching the lives of countless individuals and families with her exceptional skill and compassionate spirit. To Shirley, nursing was more than just a profession; it was a noble calling that allowed her to give back to the community in profound ways.

Her infectious smile and kind heart made her a beloved figure among all who knew her. She had a unique ability to light up a room and a generous nature that led her to drop everything in order to help those in need, whether they were friends, family, or even strangers. Shirley's nurturing personality extended beyond her career; it was woven into the very fabric of her being. She created cherished memories during family gatherings filled with laughter and the aroma of her culinary delights, particularly her famous stuffed peppers. Christmas, her most treasured holiday, was when her warm spirit shone brightest as she brought everyone together to celebrate love and togetherness.

Shirley's legacy comes to life through her five beloved children: Yiekia, Surealya, La Shanna, Shereka, and Kutrell. They were her pride and joy, and she took great pleasure in nurturing them and watching them grow. Alongside her children, she leaves behind a plethora of grandchildren—Sukarri, Joshua, Lailah, Mayson, Nafisah, Sakinah, Atarah, Naimah, Zahra, Safiyah, Garvey, and Jaia—who will carry forward the light she instilled in their lives. Her father Shedley remains with the family, along with her siblings Janice, Sheila, and Patrick, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Though she leaves behind a beautiful family and a legacy of compassion, Shirley is also preceded in death by her mother, Mary; her brother, Kenneth; her sister, Virginia; and her brother, Shedley. Each of them played a role in the tapestry of her life, and they will be remembered and honored as a part of her story.

The impact Shirley made on her family, friends, and the many lives she touched as a nurse will resonate for generations to come. She achieved her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, and her proudest accomplishment was the love and care she provided in raising her children. Shirley Lynn Frazier’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her, reminding them of the beauty of kindness, dedication, and the unconditional love of a mother.
