Shirley Jean Ainsworth

Shirley Jean Ainsworth, 77, was born on June 4, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Andrew Stanley and Senola Johnson. The youngest of 8 children; she was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Ma Minnie. She peacefully passed away on March 22, 2026, and will be forever cherished.

Shirley resided in Victorville, California. She loved gospel music, had a beautiful voice, and was devoted to her faith. She deeply loved her husband and children. Shirley married the love of her life at 19, and they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage together.

She is survived by her husband, CW Ainsworth; her children, Cynthia, Kevin, Shelia, and Dominque; her grandchildren, Jerome, Tyrone, Ziamina, Marcus, Torrey, Lenzie, Elizabeth, & Akye; her brother, Melvin; her step-sister, Betty and a host of extended family & loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her son, Columbus Eugene Crossland; her granddaughter, Mariah; her parents, Andrew & Senola; her sisters, Verbia, Dervy, & Mary; and her brothers, Elous, Arin, & Nelson.
