Plaistow: Sharon J. (Hill) (Neff) Mattozzi, 75, a lifelong resident of Plaistow, died Sunday August 23, 2015, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, following a long illness.

Born in Exeter, daughter of the late Lyman and Mona (Fraize) Hill, she attended the Pollard School and graduated Sanborn Seminary, Kingston. She attended the University of New Hampshire and was employed as a secretary for sixty-three years.

Mrs. Mattozzi was employed at Raytheon Co., North Andover and later for the University of New Hampshire Forestry Department. She also worked as a legal secretary for the law office of Attorneys Andernacht and Hurd of Plaistow and as a mortgage office and bank manager of the former Plaistow Bank and Trust Co. She most recently worked as the Accounts Payable and Receivables Clerk at Auto Use of Andover.

Named Best Dancer of her high school graduating class, Mrs. Mattozz enjoyed dancing throughout her life. She was an avid reader and considered her library card as one of her most important possessions. Her home and hosting family gatherings for special occasions was very important to her, especially during her retirement years.

The wife of the late Gino J. Mattozzi, she is survived by her son Eric S. Neff of Plaistow, a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jeffrey Morrill of Dunnellon, Florida, two sisters, Sandra Dawe and her husband George of Hampton, NH, and Mona Embrey-Rooke and her husband John Rooke of Plaistow, grandchildren, Matthew Neff, Jesse Neff, Kayla Carr, Kody Harmer, Jacklin Harmer and Ellie Morrill and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow NH. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Plaistow Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the National Fibromyalgia Association.
